BHOLA, Dec 22 (BSS): Commerce Minister Tofail Ahmed has expressed the hope that Awami League (AL)-led alliance will win the next general election under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
"The caretaker government will never come back. There is nothing to say about a supportive government. So, the next general election will be held under Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina," he said while exchanging views with journalists at his residence in the district town.
Tofail said everybody, including international organisations and media, says that the Rangpur City Corporation Election (RpCC) was free and fair, but only BNP has brought allegations against the election.
"People will not believe in the allegations of BNP, because this party wanted to make the free fair election of Rangpur controversy" , he added.
District Awami League general secretary and zila parishad chairman Abdul Mamin Tulu, Sadar upazila Awami League secretary Nazrul Islam Goldar and Bhola Municipality Mayor M Moniruzzaman were present on the occasion, among others.
