Awami League Advisory Council Member and Health and Family Welfare Minister Mohammad Nasim said on Saturday Awami League would like to see the next general elections with the participation of all parties, reports BSS.
"We don't want to see one-sided election and we want the polls with the participation of all political parties," he said, speaking at a conference held at an auditorium of Krishibid Institute in the city.
Bangladesh Association of Urological Surgeons (BAUS) organised the conference with its president Professor Dr SA Khan in the chair.
Nasim said BNP chief Begum Zia is now in jail as court sentenced her in the Zia Orphanage Graft case. Awami League has nothing to do in this regard, he added.
He said, "I hope every political party will take part in the next parliament elections."
