Alamgir asks police to work with sacrificing attitude

Home Minister Dr Mohiuddin Khan Alamgir Wednesday called upon the members of the police force to work with sacrificing attitude and spirit of the War of Liberation, reports BSS.
"The achievement of Independence medal by the police force is the recognition to the enormous contribution of the force to the war of liberation and part of their heritage," he said while delivering his first speech at a meeting with the senior police officials at Police Headquarters in the city.
State Minister for Home Advocate Shamsul Haque Tuku was present as the special guest while Inspector General of Police (IGP) Hassan Mahmood Khandker presided over the meeting.
The meeting was attended, among others, by Additional Inspector General of Police (Adi-IGP) Admin AKM Shahidul Haque, Adi-IGP (Armed Police Battalions) Sheikh Hemayet Hossain, Adi-IGP (Finance) Amir Uddin, Rector of Police Staff College Md Nazmul Haque, Adi-IGP (CID) Md Mokhlesur Rahman, Commissioner of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Benazir Ahmed and Adi-IGP (Training) Moinur Rahman Chowdhury.
