Ruling Awami League Central Working Committee (ALCWC) sits today (Saturday) to hold threadbare discussions on current affairs of the state as well as upcoming Union Parishad and Municipality elections and revitalising the party, reports UNB.
Prime Minister (PM) and AL President Sheikh Hasina will chair the meeting, described as significant by party General Secretary Syed Ashraful Islam.
The day-long meeting at the party's Dhanmondi office will begin at 11:00 am.
Sources in the AL said that various issues including evaluation of the government's performance over the past 22 months, coordination between party leaders and Ministers, ways to maintain good relations between government officials and party workers, conflicts between party MPs and upazila chairmen, and controlling Chhatra League and Jubo League activists may figure prominently in the meeting.
