Amended constitution to be reprinted soon

Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Barrister Shafique Ahmed expressed the hope Wednesday that the amended constitution restoring the four original state principles would be sent to the press for reprint by the first week of December.
Clarifying the delay in sending the amended constitution for reprint, he said it is because of the time needed for careful examination of the observations and modifications made by the Supreme Court while upholding the High Court verdict that had outlawed the fifth amendment.
Talking to the newsmen at his secretariat office, the law minister said the Supreme Court by its judgment has not amended the constitution. The constitution will be reprinted by leaving out the insertions and deletions made by military proclamations.
