'Ansar Al Islam member' held in Dinajpur

The Anti-terrorism Unit (ATU) of Bangladesh police have arrested a suspected member of banned militant outfit Ansar Al Islam from Bochaganj Thana of Dinajpur district on Wednesday, reports UNB.

The arrestee was identified as Md Ashiq Islam (19), son of Babul Haque of Pirganj upazila of Thakurgaon district. He is a first year student of a local degree college.

According to a media release of Police Headquarters, tipped off, an ATU team arrested him after conducting a drive in the Setabganj area of Pirganj upazila on Tuesday noon.
