Appeal over ICT\\\'s contempt verdict constitutional: HC

The Constitution allows an individual, guilty of contempt at the International Crimes Tribunal (ICT), to appeal and seek 'complete justice', the High Court (HC) has observed, reports bdnews24.com.

Justice Farah Mahbub and Justice Kazi Md Ejarul Haque Akondo disposed on Wednesday of a petition by 12 individuals who had expressed concern about journalist David Bergman.

"The court disposed of the writ with the observation," the petitioners' lawyer Rashna Imam told the news agency."It said, a person penalised at the tribunal may move the Supreme Court as per Section 104 of the Constitution."
