Police have stated that they have identified the individuals involved in the daylight killing of a Jubo Dal leader at Chowmuhani Bazar in Chattogram's Raozan upazila, but warned that their arrests may take some time,' reports bdnews2.com.
No case had been filed as of Monday noon, two days after the killing. Police said six suspects had been identified, though their names and identities would be disclosed later.
Masudul Haque Chowdhury (45), senior joint convenor of the Rangunia upazila unit of Jubo Dal, was shot dead at Chowmuhani Bazar in Pahartali union on Saturday afternoon.
Asked about the incident, Raozan Police Station chief Saiful Islam said: "No member of the victim's family has come to the police station to file a case yet. We will accept the case once they do."
"We have identified six people involved in the incident. However, none of them has been arrested so far."
