Arrest warrant against 16 Maheshkhali \\\'Razakars\\\'

The International Crimes Tribunal (ICT)-2 issued on Thursday arrest warrant against 16 alleged Razakars from Maheshkhali upazila of Cox's Bazar, reports BSS.

Justice Obaidul Hassan, chairman of the three-member panel of ICT-2, issued the warrant accepting a plea of the prosecution.

Prosecutor Rana Dasgupta moved the petition before the tribunal but refused to disclose the names of the accused to the newsmen.

"The investigation officer (IO) found involvement of these 16 with crimes against humanity as he was carrying out investigations against three Cox's Bazar Razakars Salamat Ullah Khan, Abdur Rashid and Maulavi Jakaria. "That's why, for the greater interest of justice, we are trying to make them to face the trial," advocate Dasgupta said.
