GAZIPUR, Feb 4 (UNB): Six people suffered burn injuries in a petrol bomb attack on a bus near the District Police Lines in the city on Wednesday night.
The injured are Rakib Hossain, 10, Nurunnabi, 26, Sabuj, 20, Sohel, 34, Manjurul Islam, 32, and Nazmul Hossain. The condition of the former two was stated to be critical.
All the victims were first taken to local Shaheed Tajuddin Ahmad Medical College Hospital where doctors referred five of them to Dhaka Medical College Hospital in the capital.
Witnesses said suspected blockaders hurled the petrol bomb at the Dhaka-bound 'Balaka Paribahan' bus at Naljani around 8pm. Soon, the bus went up in flames, leaving its six passengers burned.
