A Dhaka court has scrapped a bail petition filed by Jasim Uddin, who reportedly managed all the black money of former Inspector General of Police (IGP) Benazir Ahmed as his cashier, in a case lodged over attempt to murder one Md Durjoy Ahammed, reports BSS.
Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Belal Hossain passed the order on Thursday after hearing on the plea and sent the accused to jail.
Police arrested Jasim Uddin, also the former chairman of Chandanaish Upazila Parishad, from the capital's Nikunja area on December 4.
According to the case documents, Md Durjoy Ahammed got shot on July 20.
