Ganatantrik Bam Morcha  announced Saturday a road march from October 16-18 with their 12-point demand, including saving the Sundarbans, reports UNB.
Prior to the road-march programme, the alliance of the left-leaning parties will arrange a national convention in the capital.
Ganatantrik Bam Morcha convener Saiful Haque came up with the announcement at a press conference at Nirmal Sen conference hall in city's Topkhana Road.
The demands of the alliance include ending political misrule; ensuring democratic rights and democratic environment; arranging acceptable election; stopping extra judicial killing and state sponsored terrorism; preventing price hike of essentials and ensuring fair price of agricultural produces; ensuring livable wage for working class people; arranging employment for the unemployed;  cancelling the coal-fired Rampal power plant; and ensuring equality based share of the Tista river water.
