Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman had enacted the Representation of the People Order, 1972 (RPO), aimed at establishing the democratic rights of the people, reports BSS.
Law Minister Anisul Huq made the comments while replying to a query about Bangabandhu's contribution to overall development of electoral management.
"The RPO is the pillar of all the electoral laws,”
he said.
