Bangabandhu was great teacher of Bangalees: Mostafiz

KHULNA, Mar 10 (BSS): Primary and Mass Education Minister Mostafizur Rahman has said Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman was the great teacher of the Bangalees.

"He (Bangabandhu) proved the love and confidence of Bangalees through giving them independence as the people kept their confidence to his leadership," he said.

The minister was addressing a function at Khulna's Primary Teachers Institution (PTI) auditorium as chief guest.

He also distributed prizes among the winners of sports competition of trainee teachers of primary education.

He said primary school teachers should gain the confidence of guardians following Bangabandhu's ideal as the great leader achieved the confidence of commoners.

He asked teachers to teach their students cordially, so they can take global challenges and lead the nation in the future as worthy citizens.

Chaired by PTI superintendent Sayeda Ferdousi Begum, the function was addressed, among others, Mizanur Rahman Mizan, MP, additional director general of Primary Education Ramzan Ali, director of the Primary Education Department Bijoy Bhushon Paul and district primary education officer Ramendra Poddar.
