Mr Cruden praised Bangladesh government for preparing a strategy to deal with Myanmar refugees.
Referring to the domestic political situation, the Canadian envoy appreciated the government's success in restoring normalcy.
Foreign Minister Mahmood Ali reiterated the government's commitment to upholding the sanctity of the constitution to institutionalise democracy, according to foreign ministry media release.
He said when violence turns to terrorism; the state has no other option but to act against that.
In response, Cruden said the Canadian government has always condemned the violence.
She said the regular meetings between a number of secretaries and the heads of diplomatic missions on RMG related issues have been constructive.
She said her government has given Canadian $8.0 million to the ILO for implementing projects in Bangladesh which would assist overhauling of the RMG sector.
