Bangladesh strongly condemned the attacks on Turkish troops by terrorists belonging to the Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK).
Talking to journalists, Adviser for Foreign Affairs Iftekhar Ahmed Chowdhury observed, "Turkey has been demonstrating remarkable patience which could understandably run out if the aggression continues", reports UNB.
"We are opposed to terrorism in all forms, and the attacks on Turkish forces are totally unacceptable", Chowdhury said.
The foreign adviser recalled his recent meeting in New York with Turkish Foreign Minister Ali Babacan and said, "Turkey is a responsible international actor and Bangladesh values the existing bilateral relations, and would favour widening and deepening them".
