Barrister Aminul, Tuhin, two others submit wealth statements

Former BNP minister Barrister Aminul Haque, Khaleda Zia's nephew Sharin Islam Tuhin, Awami League leader Ali Reza Raju and former secretary Ismail Jabiullah submitted their wealth statements Sunday to the Anti-Corruption Commission, reports UNB.
They submitted their wealth statements to ACC secretary Mokhles ur Rahman through their representatives in response to the notices issued by the anti-graft watchdog in the first week of this month.
The names of these individuals appeared on the second list of corrupt suspects, which also included Tarique Rahman, Dr Khandaker Mosharraf Hossain, Barrister Moudud Ahmed and Chittagong City mayor ABM Mohiuddin Chowdhury.
According to sources, former Post and Telecommunications Minister Barrister Aminul Haque in his statement stated that he and his family have a four-storied building on an eight-katha land in Baridhara, a house in suburban area of Rajshahi, a plot in Savar and 139 decimals of land outside Dhaka.
Besides, Aminul, his wife and daughter have about Tk 23 lakh in 21 bank accounts. They have Tk 2.35 lakh cash in hand and furniture worth Tk 2.12 lakh.
Khaleda Zia's nephew Sharin Islam Tuhin has one flat in Gulshan, a deposit of Tk 2.5 crore with Rajuk for three pieces of land and 100 tolas of gold. He also has 15 bank accounts, but the amount of money in the accounts could not be known. His wife Ayesha has 100 tolas of gold ornaments.
AL leader Ali Reza Raju has 500 decimals of land in Jessore and moveable property worth Tk 4 lakh. He has five bank accounts, but it could not be known how much money is there in the accounts.
Former secretary Ismail Jabiullah has a number of plots, including one in Purbachal, four in Dhaka and one in Chittagong. He also has a flat in the capital. He has savings certificate worth Tk 10 lakh and a fixed deposit of Tk 25 lakh. Jabiullah also has Tk 27 lakh in the bank.
His wife Ayesha Siddika has savings certificates worth Tk 10 lakh and 50 totals of gold ornaments.
