Barrister Khokan relieved from Jatiyatabadi Ainjibi Forum post

Bangladesh Jatiyatabadi Ainjibi Forum (BJAF), a platform of the pro-BNP lawyers, has removed Barrister AM Mahbub Uddin Khokan from the forum's senior vice-president position for taking charge as president of the Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) violating the decision of the forum.

The decision for Khokan's removal from the post was taken at a meeting held at the BNP Chairperson's Gulshan office in the city on April 6 this year, said a letter issued to Barrister Khokan on April 20.

Khokan was also accused of breaching the discipline of the forum by making derogatory remarks against the high-ranking party leaders at a recent discussion organised by a group of former BNP leaders who participated in the January 7 parliament elections.
