BCL audacity forces RU provost to resign

RAJSHAHI UNIVERSITY, Mar 10: Prof Imtiaz Ahmed, a pro-Awami teacher and provost of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Hall of Rajshahi University (RU) resigned from his provostship Wednesday for unfair behaviour by the Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) hall unit leaders with him.
Sources said that a few days back BCL hall unit tried to occupy seats. But the provost resisted their move. Then BCL demanded his resignation.
Imtiaz told the newsmen he has already sent his resignation letter. But he showed the personal excuse for his resignation.
