Ten people were injured in a clash between the activists of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) and the Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dol (JCD) at Fazlul Haq Muslim Hall of Dhaka University Monday, reports UNB.brWitnesses said the clash was a sequel to an altercation between the activists of the two rival student bodies over taking free 'sehri' (predawn meal) at the canteen of the dormitory.brThey said the trouble started when BCL boy Tanjim raised voice as a JCD activist tried to take sehri free at the canteen.brLater Monday afternoon, a group of JCD workers, led by hall unit joint secretary Abul Hasan, attacked Tanjim with sharp weapons, triggering a series of clashes in the dormitory between the two student organisations that left the 10 students injured.brBoth the groups attacked each other with rods, hockey sticks, and some other sharp weapons.brLater, the hall authorities and the law enforcers brought the situation under control.brTanjim, Kallol, Chonchol, Zahir and Symond of BCL and Sharif, Jholok of JCD were among the injured. Of them, Tanjim was admitted to Dhaka Medical College Hospital with serious injuries while others received treatment at the university medical centre.
