BCL protests BNP men’s attack on BD mission in London

Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL), student wing of Bangladesh Awami League, staged a demonstration on Sunday on Dhaka University campus protesting BNP men's Wednesday's attack on the Bangladesh High Commission in London, reports BSS.
Leaders and activists of BCL held a protest rally in front of the Aparajeya Bangla of Dhaka University (DU) demanding imprisonment of BNP acting chairman Tarique Rahman and the BNP men for the Bangladesh High Commission attack during which the photograph of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman was torn.
BCL President Saifur Rahman Shohag said that those who vandalised the high commission office must be sent to jail.
"Khaleda Zia's son Tarique Rahman humiliated the nation by disgracing the photograph of Bangabandhu. The perpetrators must be brought back home to face justice," said Shohag.
S M Jakir Hossain, general secretary of BCL, said the attackers must be identified through scrutinising video footages and their passports should be confiscated to arrest them.
BCL DU unit general secretary Motahar Hossain Prince said that Bangabandhu had guided students for the Language Movement. "General students will never tolerate humiliation of Bangabandhu's photograph"
Condemning the attack, Mehedi Hasan Sani, general secretary of BCL Mohsin Hall unit, said that they will go for a tougher movement if the perpetrators are not brought to justice.
BCL DU unit President Abid Al Hasan presided over the function. He urged BCL activists to become conscious so that the attackers cannot create confusions among people by spreading fake photos on the social media.
Earlier, hundreds of BCL activists brought out a protest procession from historic Modhur canteen of Dhaka University.
