RAJSHAHI UNIVERSITY, Mar 6: The activists of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) a student wing of the ruling party Rajshahi University (RU) unit had warned the RU provost council, an organisation of different hall provosts not to distribute seats in the next three months.
Ignoring the warning, Shah Makdum (SM) Hall authority with permission of RU VC hung a notice about distribution of seats among 23 candidates.
As a result several agitated BCL members ransacked different rooms including the Provost Room of that hall. They also damaged the hall notice board.
