B\\\'deshi youth injured in BSF firing dies

KURIGRAM, Mar 2 (UNB): A youth, who was shot and injured by the members of Indian Border Security Force (BSF) on Saturday along Shimulbari border in the district, died in a hospital in Cooch Behar district of West Bengal state early Sunday.

The deceased was identified as Mukul Miah, 25, son of Ismail Hossain, of Paschim Balatari village of Phulbari upazila of Kurigram.

Lt Col Mofazzal Hossain Akand, commanding officer of Balahat Battalion 26 of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) said BSF troops of Boskutal camp of Cooch Behar district fired shots at Mukul in the area before dawn on Saturday, leaving him injured.
