The House Committee recommended Monday the authorities concerned to beef up security in the Sangasad Bhaban area, reports UNB.
In its third meeting at the Parliament Secretariat, the committee also asked for proper investigation and legal action against those who had been handed over to law enforcers on charges of trespassing into the Sangsad Bhaban area using fake ID cards.
The House Committee also recommended forming a five-member society, with Khalid Mahmud Chowdhury, MP, as its convener, for looking into the security and the cleanliness of the Sangsad Bhaban area.
Chaired by committee chairman Chief Whip ASM Firoz, the meeting was also attended by members of parliament M Tajul Islam Chowdhury, M Abdus Shahid, Nur-e-Alam Chowdhury, Sagufta Yasmin, Panchanan Biswas and Fazle Hossain Badsha.
The committee recommended constructing a structure in the Sangsad Sadashya Bhaban area, Nakhalpara to store the unused furniture of the members of parliament.
They also recommended repairing the furniture or selling those through auction, if required.
