The International Crimes Tribunal (ICT)-2 Thursday set March 20 for filing an explanation by journalist David Bergman for his 'criticism' of the trial process, reports BSS.
The second tribunal set the date accepting an application from Barrister Mustafizur Rahman Khan, counsel for the contemptner.
Earlier on February 20, the tribunal in its order asked David Bergman, a special correspondent of English daily New Age, to explain his 'criticism' of the trial process by appearing before it or through counsel on the day.
The ICT-2 passed the order after hearing a petition of High Court (HC) lawyer Abul Kalam Azad.
Azad filed the petition on February 18, seeking the tribunal's rule upon David as to why contempt proceeding would not be initiated against him for his comments related to war crimes trials and judgments on his own blog.
