The International Crimes Tribunal (ICT)-2 Sunday set July 8 for holding further hearing on the contempt of court case against journalist and blogger David Bergman, reports BSS.
The second tribunal set the date as David, a special reports editor at the daily New Age, submitted his reply in writing. The tribunal on April 17, 2014, initiated contempt proceedings against him for his 'criticism' of the trial process.
The tribunal in its order had asked David to reply as to why he would not be held liable for committing contempt of court and punished for his contemptuous comments about the order and the judgment of the tribunal.
Earlier on February 20, the second tribunal in its order asked Bergman to explain his 'criticism' of the trial process by appearing before it or through his counsel.
