Bhasani’s death anniv tomorrow

Moulana Abdul Hamid Khan Bhasani

The 38th death anniversary of veteran politician Moulana Abdul Hamid Khan Bhasani will be observed tomorrow (Monday), reports BSS.
Popularly known as 'Majlum Jananeta', the leader of the downtrodden, Moulana Bhasani, passed away on November 17, 1976.
To mark the day, different organisations including Bangladesh National Awami Party (NAP Bhasani), Moulana Bhasani University of Science and Technology, Bhasani Foundation and other organisations have chalked out various programmes.
The programmes included placing of wreaths at Bhasani's mazar, discussion, art competition and poetry recitation session.
Shaheed Asad Parishad will stage a function of poetry recitation, discussion and Gonosangeet (songs of masses) at Awaparjito Swadhinata Sculpture of Teacher-Student Centre on Dhaka University campus at 3.30pm today (Sunday).
