Maulana Abdul Hamid Khan Bhashani

The 134th birth anniversary of Maulana Abdul Hamid Khan Bhashani will be observed today (Friday) with due respect, reports UNB.
Different political parties and socio-cultural organisations have taken up elaborate programmes to commemorate the leader who championed the cause of the peasants and the downtrodden.
On the occasion, recitations from the holy Quran and prayer sessions will be arranged by his followers at his graveside at Shantosh, Tangail.
Besides, Maulana Bhashani University of Science and Technology (MBUST) and the Bhashani Foundation will hold various programmes at Santosh.
