Accusing the ruling party of making bloodletting as its political manifesto, BNP alleged on Saturday that the government has chosen killings and forced disappearances as the path to face stormy politics.
"It's pointless to spread the message of peace among those who have made bloodletting their political manifesto. They (govt), after having been isolated from people, now think killings and enforced disappearances as the only solution to turbulent politics," said BNP acting secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, reports UNB.
Addressing a press conference, he also said the government is not finding any other alternative to enforced disappearance to perpetuate its power.
The BNP-led 20-party arranged the press meet protesting the government's decision of not allowing it to hold its scheduled human chain programme in the city Saturday which they had called protesting the disappearances of its leaders and activists.
