Blue panel gets majority in DU Dean polls

The Pro-Awami League (AL) 'blue panel' has grabbed six posts out of 10 in the Dhaka University (DU) Deans' election, while the BNP-Jamaat-backed 'white panel' won four posts.
The election was held Monday. Some 1061 teachers of the university exercised their rights to vote.
The six 'blue panel' winners are Prof Farid Uddin Ahmed (Faculty of Social Sciences), Yousuf Ali Mollah (Faculty of Science), Shahid Akhter Hossain (Faculty of Biological Sciences), Nasreen Ahmad (Faculty of Earth and Environmental Sciences), Ahmed Ismail Mustafa (Faculty of Engineering and Technology) and Emdadul Huq Md Matlub Ali (Faculty of Fine Arts).
The four elected deans from the 'white panel' are Prof Sadrul Amin (Faculty of Arts), Jamal Uddin Ahmed (Faculty of Business Studies), Habibur Rahman (Faculty of Pharmacy) and Taslima Monsur (Faculty of Law).
