BHOLA, Jan 18 (UNB): BNP Bhola district unit called Sunday a daylong hartal here for today (Monday) protesting the arrest of its general secretary Muhammad Faruk Miah.
The decision came at an emergency meeting held at the residence of unit president Golam Nabi Alamgir Sunday afternoon, said Helaluddin, assistant organising secretary of district BNP.
Earlier, police arrested two people, including Faruk, from the Paner Arhat area while going to the party office to attend a meeting Saturday.
