BNP demonstrates in protest against terrorist attack

PABNA, May 13 (UNB): Opposition BNP activists Tuesday staged demonstration in the district town protesting against attack on their activists that left four injured Monday night.
A gang of miscreants attacked Sadar Upazila BNP general secretary Rehanul Islam Dulal, No. 11 ward pourashava president Ilyas Ali Ilu, general secretary Kamal Hossain and member Mohammad Opel while they were returning to their homes from the party office at about 11pm Monday. They stabbed them indiscriminately leaving them seriously injured near the Power House in the town.
One of the attackers, identified as Sajib (22) was caught by local people and handed over to police after mass beating.
Police said Sajib was an activist of Purba Banglar Communist Party (ML-Janajuddha).
The injured were first admitted to the Sadar Hospital and later sent to Dhaka Community Hospital in the capital following the deterioration of their condition.
