Taking a swipe at the prime minister (PM) for calling its chairperson Khaleda Zia a traitor, BNP Sunday claimed Sheikh Hasina has again exposed her bad taste and arrogance through her address at the Habiganj rally, reports UNB.
"The prime minister's entire speech at the Habiganj public rally was nothing but delirium. She addressed it in an aggressive attitude. We think she has exposed her bad taste, irresponsibility and arrogance through her speech," BNP joint secretary general Ruhul Kabir Rizvi said this while speaking at a press briefing at the BNP's Nayapaltan central office Sunday.
The BNP leader alleged that the PM branding Khaleda as a traitor has betrayed the blood of martyred freedom fighters. "She'll have to be accountable to people for this one day."
Rizvi further claimed that Sheikh Hasina cannot understand people's pulse as she had passed examinations adopting unfair means.
Meanwhile, Accusing Awami League (AL) leaders and activists for the violence in Araihazar Upazila, Narayanganj, BNP acting secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir Sunday alleged the government is trying to cling to power by resorting to terrorism.
"The current illegal regime that grabbed power through a voter-less election is trying to hang onto power by spreading terrorism," he said this in a statement.
Fakhrul warned that no evil force behind the current regime would be able to keep it in power for a long time.
