BNP leader Dr. Shahadat to take oath as CCC mayor Nov 3

CHATTOGRAM, Oct 25: BNP leader Dr. Shahadat Hossain will be sworn in as the mayor of Chattogram City Corporation (CCC) on November 3.

The Election Tribunal declared Dr. Shahadat Hossain as the mayor of CCC in a verdict of a case filed by him.

According to the case, only 4 to 6 per cent of votes were cast on the day of the poll on January 27, 2021. However, the Election Commission reported that 22 per cent of votes were cast, indicating clear rigging.
