BNP leader Rizvi gets HC bail

The High Court on Sunday granted on Sunday ad-interim bail to BNP joint secretary general Ruhul Kabir Rizvi in two separate cases filed for carrying out subversive activities, reports UNB.
An HC ben comprising Justice Mohammad Rezaul Haque and Justice Mohammad Khasruzzaman passed the order.
The Court also issued a rule asking the government to explain why the BNP leader should not be given permanent bail in the two cases.
Advocate Joynul Abedin stood for the petitioner while deputy attorney general Fazlur Rahman Khan represented the state.
Police filed two separate cases against BNP leader Ruhul Kabir Rizvi with Jatrabari and Badda Police Stations on January 24 and 26 respectively on charge of carrying out sabotage activities.
