Awami League central leader and former Home Minister Mohammad Nasim said BNP made significant gains by joining the Jatiya Sangsad (JS) that became lively and sonorous with the joint participation of members of both treasury and opposition benches, reports BSS. "Immediately after joining the JS after a long lapse of 11 months and 20 days, BNP chairperson and leader of the opposition in parliament Khaleda Zia in her 67 minutes speeche bounced a volley of questions to the treasury bench while leader of the House and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in her winding up speech last night gave replies to those questions" he said adding, that "this is the beauty of parliamentary democracy." Mr Nasim said save some scattered 'undesirable" and 'unwanted' remarks, members of both the opposition and ruling parties made constructive criticisms of each others' performances that definitely paved the way for making the JS focal point of all national activities and the only way to reach any consensus on prime national issues.
