Opposition BNP's Ramna thana unit office in the capital was Tuesday ransacked and captured allegedly by local activists of the ruling Awami League, party sources said.
BNP Secretary General Khandaker Delwar Hossain protested the "capture" of the party office after "looting its valuables", reports UNB.
"The ruling party is manifesting its character by staging heinous incidents one after another. The capturing and looting of a political party's office in broad daylight cannot be imagined in a democratic society, but AL is doing it," he said in a statement.
The BNP leader demanded of the government to arrest the offenders and free the party's office from the capture "immediately".
