Two BNP and Shibir leaders were held in Sylhet and Patuakhali Wednesday, reports UNB.
In Sylhet, police arrested a city unit leader of BNP from Khadimpara in Sadar upazila on sabotage charges Wednesday evening.
The arrestee was identified as Ruhul Kuddus Chowdhury Hamja, also member secretary of the Sylhet city unit of Jatiyatabadi Muktijoddha Projonmo Dal.
In Patuakhali, police arrested a local leader of Islami Chhatra Shibir from Police Line area in the district town on Wednesday night.
The arrestee was identified as Saidur Rahman Pavel, general secretary of the district unit of Shibir, the student wing of Jamaat-e-Islami.
