The BNP Standing Committee will hold a meeting today (Saturday) to discuss the country's current political situation and the party's organisational matters, report agencies.
"BNP Chairman and Prime Minister Tarique Rahman has convened a meeting of the party's standing committee on Saturday," BNP Media Cell member Sayrul Kabir Khan said on Friday.
He said the meeting will be held at 8:30 pm at the BNP chairman's political office in the capital's Gulshan.
The meeting will be chaired by BNP President and Prime Minister Tarique Rahman.
It will be the first meeting of the BNP Standing Committee, the party's highest policymaking body, since it returned to power through the February 12 national election.
The last meeting of the BNP Standing Committee was held on January 9.
A BNP standing
