BNP submits audit report to EC

Opposition BNP submitted its annual audit report to the Election Commission (EC) Tuesday, reports UNB. A BNP delegation, led by its Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi Ahmad submitted reports on the party`s income and expenditure in the year 2010 to Election Commissioner M Sohul Hussain at the EC Secretariat in the city on the day. Following petition the EC extended the timeline until September 15 for BNP to submit its annual audit reports to it as the deadline was July 31. Talking to journalists at his office, Election Commissioner M Sohul Hussain said there is a change in the country's political culture as the registered political parties are abiding by the rules of the EC.
