BNP surpassed all previous records of falsehood: Nasim

SIRAJGANJ, Mar 15 (BSS): Minister for Health and Family Welfare Mohammad Nasim alleged here Saturday that BNP has surpassed all the previous records of falsehood by blaming of rigging in the ongoing Upazila polls.

"It has become a political tradition of BNP of resorting to lies in all matters. Though BNP has been leading in terms of results in the Upazila polls so far, its leaders have not refrained from whimsical use of words like 'rigging' and 'vote dacoity'. Following which none believes in their false statements," he said. The Minister said: "People got a scope to cast their votes spontaneously in free, fair, neutral and influence-free polls held under the government of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. Those who were elected in the polls as people could cast their votes in accordance with their choice. Awami League always respects people's mandate."

The senior Awami League leader said this while speaking as the chief guest at the extended meeting of Sirajganj City Awami League held at its district unit office here.

Siranganj City AL leader Ishaque Ali chaired the meeting, also addressed, among others, by district AL president Mostafizur Rahman, general secretary Advocate KM Hossain Ali, Prof Dr Habib-e-Millat Munna, MP, Abu Yusuf Surja, Abu Md Golam Kibria, Daniul Huq, Mainuddin Khan Chinu, Advocate Abdul Hakim, Zihad- Al-Islam and Zakir Hossain.
