BNP sweeps Joypurhat Bar election

JOYPURHAT, Nov 22: Mr Motiour Rahman and Mr Rofiqul Islam Tarun of the BNP-led alliance have been elected president and secretary respectively of Joypurhat Bar Samity.
The election was held here recently.
The Awami League-led alliance nominated candidate Biman Chandra Basak was elected vice president while, Abu Taher of the BNP-led alliance nominated candidate was also elected vice president.
The Awami League-led alliance got only five posts including vice president out of 17 posts.
A total of 154 voters cast their votes out of 161.
