BNP to join dialogue with President as part

BNP Acting Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir Tuesday said they will join the dialogue with President as part of their on-going movement, reports UNB.
He made the remarks when talking to reporters on the premises of graveyard of late president Ziaur Rahman in the morning after placing wreath to mark the 33rd founding anniversary of JASAS, cultural wing of the BNP.
Mirza Fakhrul said during the talks with the President they 'will raise their political statements including that on formation of new election commission and election under a non-party caretaker government'.
The BNP acting secretary general said they will tell the President that the next general election should be held under a neutral and non-party caretaker government.
He said they will make their stance clear that nothing will be right and confidence will not be created unless the polls are held under caretaker government.
On Monday night, a meeting of BNP-led four-party alliance with BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia in the chair decided to join the dialogue with the President.
On Monday afternoon, BNP received invitation letter to join the talks with President M Zillur Rahman on January 11.
