Major Hafiz told journalists after an exchange-of-views meeting with 100 nominated party candidates at the BNP Chairperson's Gulshan office in the capital on Thursday.
BNP has already announced candidates for 266 seats. A decision regarding the remaining 36 seats will be made by tomorrow (Friday) or the day after (Saturday), he added.
He said the party is focusing on preparing BNP-nominated candidates for the polls, providing training on electoral strategies and responsibilities to meet public expectations.
Major Hafiz mentioned that various quarters, including a religion-based party, are spreading propaganda against the BNP, and party candidates have been instructed on how to counter this smear campaign.
"The rival party is not being underestimated. Instead, a theoretical framework has been provided to the candidates on how they should conduct their activities during the election.
Details of the BNP's 31-point programme and ways of using visual and non visual media content were explained before the candidates to conduct their campaign," he added.
The BNP leader said the party's media cell has produced reels of four to five minutes and preparations have been made to use those contents to counter the false propaganda against the BNP.
He stated that the BNP is being portrayed as a 'party of extortionists,' but a research team from the party gathered information through public engagement in various regions, where a large portion of these allegations were found to be false.
Documentary videos demonstrating how to combat these false campaigns, based on facts and figures, have been provided to the candidates via laptops and pen drives, he said.
Major Hafiz further elaborated that there was a detailed discussion on the content of various initiatives, including development projects, family cards, farmer cards, and the purpose of presenting these to farmers.
"Our main goal is to keep the electoral campaign positive and provide appropriate answers to the false propaganda against the party," he said.
Major Hafiz further said, "An election team is disseminating various contents so that the public, especially marginal people, farmers, workers, and general people, can easily understand the BNP's policies.
Everyone has been informed about these matters through videos," he said adding that potential practical problems during the election will be discussed in the afternoon.
He emphasized that these guidelines are being given to the BNP candidates so that everyone can present the same message, further strengthening party unity.
Major Hafiz said BNP has been in power four times through the people's vote, and based on that experience, the party is confident that the people will choose the BNP again.
