BNP unveils 10-day prog marking Nov 7

FE REPORT | November 03, 2025 00:00:00

BNP secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has expressed concern that the 'enemies of Bangladesh' are once again raising their heads and making efforts to create anarchy in the country.

Speaking at a press conference at the party's Nayapaltan central office on Sunday, the BNP secretary general said, "Given the current political situation, the country is heading toward uncertainty and frustration. Every citizen is wondering -- what will happen next?"

He said, "We are witnessing that the enemies of Bangladesh are becoming active again. Gradually, efforts are being made to create a fully anarchic situation. Unfortunately, we also see propaganda and false information being spread on social media to incite chaos in the country."

Calling November 7 an 'extremely significant day,' Fakhrul said, "It was Shahid President Ziaur Rahman who united the nation, and later, Begum Khaleda Zia led and united us through the nine-year struggle against autocracy and during the transitional political movements."

He also said, "Similarly, our leader Tarique Rahman, from distant London, is working tirelessly to unite the nation, guide our party, and kindle new hopes among the people."
