BNP will face public wrath if it creates anarchy: Quamrul

Food Minister Advocate Quamrul Islam said Saturday that the BNP will have to face public wrath if it creates anarchy in name of movement, reports BSS.
"BNP has again been hatching a new conspiracy to destabilise the country in the name of movement. Will people take to the streets at the call of Khaleda Zia? We have witnessed their first rehearsal. No, BNP workers took to the streets at the hartal call of BNP in Gazipur," he said.
Mr Islam, also joint general secretary of Dhaka City Awami League (AL), said this while speaking as the chief guest at a discussion in the city.
Bangamata Sheikh Fazilatunnessa Mujib Parishad organised the discussion at the auditorium of Dhaka Reporters' Unity at Segunbagicha in the capital marking the Great Victory Day.
President of the Parishad Prof Abdul Mannan Chowdhury chaired the discussion, also addressed, among others, by information and research affairs secretary of AL Advocate Afzal Hossain, assistant secretary of AL sub-committee Advocate Balaram Poddar and general secretary of Bangabandhu Sangskritik Jote Arun Sarker Rana.
