BNP won't win upcoming election: Quader

NOAKHALI, Dec 23 (BSS): Awami League (AL) General Secretary Obaidul Quader said on Sunday being disorganised BNP has already accepted defeat and it will not be able to win the next parliamentary election slated for December 30.
"BNP has become purposeless…they will never be victorious in polls as the people of the country have rejected them," he said.
Quader, also the road transport and bridges minister, said while addressing a rally on Senbagh Government Pilot High School ground under Noakhali-3 constituency.
Anti-liberation forces will be defeated in the month of victory through ballets, he said, adding that BNP is involved in terrorism, corruption and murder.
"If they (BNP) come to power again, Hawa Bhaban will start working and the country will again become champion in corruption.
Mentioning that Sheikh Hasina brought the country to the light, he said, if BNP comes to power, the country will again go back to the darkness.
BNP did not do any development in the constituency (Noakhali-3) during its tenures.
"The present government has done a lot of development works during its present tenure. The constituency has been brought under 96 per cent electricity coverage by the present government led by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. Moreover, many schools and colleges have been built as well as renovated in the current tenure of the government," he added.
He said people should cast their votes for Awami League for the continuation of the pace of devolvement to make the county a middle-income as well as a developed one.
Otherwise, people of the area will be deprived of development.
The minister further said Union Digital Centre is providing information technology services to the rural people at 200 union parishads across the country.
