A 61-member convening committee of Dhaka City South unit of BNP has been formed as the party approved the committee, reports BSS.
The approval came five months after the partial committee was announced with Rafiqul Islam Majnu as convener and Tanvir Ahmed Robin as member secretary, said a press release of BNP joint office secretary Munir Hossain on Monday.
The 61-member convening committee has 13 joint conveners and 46 members.
On July 8, BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi announced the partial committees (conveners and member secretaries) of Dhaka City South, North, Chattogram and Barisal city and asked to form a full-fledged committee within three months.
The joint conveners of the newly-formed committee are Harunur Rashid Harun, ANM Saiful Islam, Liton Mahmud, Abdus Sattar, SK Shekandar Qadir, Monir Hossain, Mir Hossain Miru, Saidur Rahman Mintu, Maqbul Hossain Sardar, Golam Hossain, Farhad Hossain, Maqbul Hossain Tipu and Mujibur Rahman Maju.
The members include, among others, Ishraq Hossain, Farid Uddin, Farukul Islam, Sharif Hossain, Mohammad Ali China, Arifur Rahman Nadim, Latif Ullah Zafru, Anwar Parvez Badal, KM Zubair Ejaz, Akbar Hossain Bhuiyan Nantu, Sayed Hasan Mintu, Umar Nabi Babu, Saifullah Khaled Rajan and Fazle Rubayet Pappu.
Arifa Sultana Ruma, Nadia Pathan Papon, Nasrin Rashid Putul, Lokman Hossain Fakir, Jumman Mia, Mohiuddin Chowdhury, Hazi Nazim, Alamgir Hossain, Raisul Hasan Habi, Hamidul Haque, Safiuddin Ahmed Sentu, Hossain Ali, Ismail Talukder Khokon, Anwar Hossain Sardar, Anwarul Kabir, Mamun Hossain, Zafor Ahmed, Tofail Ahmed, Mofazzal Hossain, Haji Mozammel Haque, Haji Zakir Hossain, Kabirul Haider Chowdhury, Abul Hashem, Shamsun Nahar, Khaja Habib, Moazzem Hossain, Uzzal Mia, Nurul Quader Nasim, Nasimul Gani Khan, Mozammel Haque Moju, Akhter Hossain and Md.
