BNP\\\'s prog to observe Zia\\\'s death anniv

BNP worked out on Thursday a 14-day programme to observe the 34th death anniversary of its founder Ziaur Rahman, reports UNB.
The programme marking the death anniversary will begin on May 28 and end on June 10.
The decision on the issue was taken at a joint meeting of the party at the party's Nayapaltan central office with BNP joint secretary general M Shahjahan in the chair.fter the meeting, Shahjahan said the programmes include holding discussions, wearing black badges, publishing posters and supplements in newspapers and distributing food among the destitutes.
"We want to hold our programmes in a peaceful manner. We hope the government won't create any obstacle to our programmes," he said.
Ziaur Rahman was assassinated by a group of disgruntled army officers at Chittagong Circuit House on May 30, 1981.
