BSF guns down B'deshi along Meherpur border

MEHERPUR, Jan 16 (UNB): A Bangladeshi citizen was shot dead by Indian Border Security Force (BSF) along Kazipur border under Gangni Upazila Saturday.
The deceased was identified as Shahidul Islam (35), son of Sher Ali of the upazila.
BDR said BSF troops from Fulbari camp opened fire on Shahidul as he got close to the border for collecting firewood.
Later, the BSF men dragged the body into Indian territory.
